Beginner's Club

Meetings are held at Greyfriars Community Centre in the Hilary Christy Hall

We meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7.30 p.m.

Our Beginners' Club has been formed specifically to help those new to photography and we enjoy a healthy mix of guys and gals. The club is very practically orientated and we usually start our sessions with a look at the photos members have taken over the previous month. This is normally followed by a tutorial and a look at the work of an established photographer. Most of the session is very practical and we encourage members to bring their cameras along so they can experiment with different settings. During the summer months, we will be going out on local field trips where we can practice our photographic skills.

Membership: The Beginners' Club is part of the main camera club, so you will need to join that at a cost of £40 for an individual or £56 for couples. Membership gives you access to all the main club meetings. There is an additional fee of £5 per meeting attended or £30 per year to cover the room hire for the Beginners' Club. However, new members are very welcome to come along to a session to see if you like us :-)).
